Positive Fridays - Week of August 20th, 2012

TGIF everyone!!!

This week I subbed on Wednesday and Friday.  Both were at a different school than last week, but still close to home, which helps with the price of gas!  I'm still hoping and praying to land my dream job someday soon!  This post will be about Wednesday's sub job since I am subbing today.  Like last year I will include today's sub job in next Friday's post!

The office staff greeted me and sounded excited to see me again and the same with the principal!  I met the new AP at lunch and she introduced herself and was very kind as well.  I love it when I come into schools were everyone is so kind.  It really does rub off on everyone and I know it rubs off on the children!

When I opened up the door, a couple of the children recognized me from subbing late in the year in 2nd grade last year and said yes, we have the best sub ever today!  They remembered me, which made me so happy!  Then one boy walked by the room and said awww man, I wish you were our sub today, you subbed for so and so and gave us jelly beans.  When your good you get rewarded is what I told him.

The children had fun doing their literacy stations and recording observations and drawing pictures of their seed that they planted.  They were so excited when it was time for Science!  One boy drew and colored me a couple of things and told me it was for my wall!  How sweet!!!  Again, when it was time to go some of them told me I was the best, most awesomest sub ever and they hope they always have me for their sub.  I told them to tell their teacher that one!

In blogging news, wow we have now smoked past 30,000 with over 33,000 views you all are so supportive!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I can't thank you enough!  Another really awesome thing I've had 16 of you search for hopkins hoppin happenings in the past week!  That's the most ever of searching specifically for my blog.  Thank you so much!  Would love to know who you all are! :-)

Please share your positves in the comments like you did last week!  If you haven't started back to teaching yet, it can be personal things that happened!  When you do, you put a big smile on my face like the children, office staff, principal, and AP did for me on Wednesday!

Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings.  Keep on smiling!
