Happy Tuesday! Many more of you have started back to school with your wonderful students. I wish you a great year. Today is my brother's birthday. Happy Birthday to him!
Last Monday, I started out tutoring working on comparing numbers to the ten thousand and hundred thousands place using my Comparing Numbers to the Millions Task Cards. If you laminate them as I did the students can write on the cards with a dry erase marker! It does include a recording sheet and answer key for those that want to hold their students accountable.
Next, we reviewed division by using my Apple Division Race game. We worked on dividing by 2, 3, 4, and 5. If the student lands on a worm they have to go back to start because who likes eating worms? haha
We finished tutoring working more on elapsed time.
Thank you for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Tutoring Tuesdays - June 12th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is out for the summer now in the United States.
Last week in tutoring, I started out tutoring working on multiplying 11 or 12 by 0 through 5 using my Summer Monsters Multiplication Race. The cards in this set have all products from 0 to 12. I just took out these specific equations to work on with her. If you land on a monster you have to go back to start! Tons of fun!!!
Next, I had her work on putting numbers in the hundreds in order since she had a mega ton of difficulty with putting numbers in the thousands in order the week before. We used my new FREE Beach Buckets Ordering Numbers in the Hundreds. Please leave positive feedback and rating for my hard work. Remember it cost me money to purchase the clip art and fonts. She did a fantastic job, so we went back to working on ordering numbers in the thousands using the Popsicles from last week. She got 8 out of 10 right this time.
I also reviewed with her how many days in a year, month, week, and some metric conversions. I plan to do that quite a bit especially the metric conversions until she has it ingrained in her head. Then I had her measure a few things on a free measuring page I found on TPT.
We finished tutoring by reviewing dividing by 3, 4, and 5 using my Unicorns Division Race. Land on a unicorn you get to go again, but land on the rainbow poop and you have to go back to start. So much fun!!! Facts go from 0 to 12's in this game. I just pull the cards that I plan to use for tutoring.
As always, thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Tutoring Tuesdays - April 3rd, 2018
Happy April! I hope each of you had a wonderful Easter or Passover if you celebrate! I am not tutoring tomorrow as the 2nd grader is on spring break and her grandma is coming to visit so tutoring update will be in a couple of weeks.
Last Wednesday, we worked on perimeter again using my Perimeter Task Cards. I worked with her on squares some triangles. Some with missing numbers for the sides and some without. She did a great job and didn't miss a single one! I put it with an Easter game board, which doesn't come with these task cards. You can use the task cards traditionally as it does come with a recording sheet and answer key.
Next we worked on multiplication by 3 with my Panda Multiplication Race game. I had cards for all of the facts for your students so you can use what facts you would like to use. Some of the spaces have a number on it. You can have them go forward that many spaces or backwards if they land on it for added fun!
Then we worked on some fractions with 3rds. We worked on shading fractions with 3rds using my Shading Fractions Task Cards and then did a few with my Fractions of a Group Easter themed task cards. There's only a few of these task cards and you can grab them HERE. The picture takes you to the shading task cards.
Next we worked on Division by 3 using my Division Multiplication Bump Fluency Games. These are not yet available in my store. Be sure to follow my store and you will get an email when I add it to my store!
