Happy Tuesday! Wow, it is already May! Time is flying by fast! Hang on teachers you'll be off for the summer soon, especially those of you who started in July and August!
Last year, I started working with the 3rd grader on factors using my Factors Task Cards. She found the factors and put them in order. She did quite a good job other than one of the higher numbers. I taught her if it is even you can always divide by 2. These come with 24 task cards in black and white only, a recording sheet, an answer key, and suggestions on using them. We played a game with them that you can see below. The game board does not come with these cards. In this game if you land on the rainbow poop you go back to start, but if you land on the unicorn you get to go again.
Next, we worked on more long division by 2 digits working on my Chicks 2 Digit Long Division Task Cards. We only got to do a couple as she had a hard time on the first problem due to focusing and making a lot of careless mistakes. I plan to keep working with her on this skill next week. She can absolutely do it as she flew through the 2nd problem pretty easily and I've seen her do it in the past! This is a 5th grade skill, this 3rd grader is doing! There are 24 task cards in color and black and white. It includes a recording sheet and answer key.

Tutoring Tuesday - March 6th, 2018
Happy first Tuesday of March! It is getting cooler again here in Florida. Back to the 60's and 70's after several weeks of the 80's. I would appreciate as many prayers as possible as I found out last Wednesday that my dog has possible heart disease. She seems healthy at home other than a small cough that won't go away, but apparently not as healthy as I thought. :(
Last Wednesday, I first gave the 2nd grader a review sheet I created that maybe I'll put up for sale some day of a mixture of skills they were reviewing in class: Missing Number for Addition, How many quarts equal 1 gallon, How many days in a year, How many inches in a foot, how many feet in a yard, writing dollar and decimal point with just coins, writing dollar and decimal point with dollars and coins, and skip counting by 3's and 4's.
After I helped her with that we worked on missing number (product) for multiplication using my Gymnastics Multiplication Missing Number Task Cards. These are for factors 0, 1, and 2 only. Children can write on the cards if laminated. The game board is not included, but you can grab it HERE with my sight word game. Land on a gymnast you get to go again. She absolutely loved this game! The cards can be used as traditional task cards.
We then worked on more Roman numerals from 50 into the 300's using my Roman Numeral Task Cards. I put these with a St. Patrick's Day game board. Land on a leprechaun go back to start. She wanted to make them good and go again so that is how we played it. The game board does NOT come with these task cards, but it is available in my store. The cards can be used like traditional task cards. So far there are 78 cards!
After seeing she had missed some with the coins and dollars and coins on the worksheet, I ended tutoring doing a several more with her. She did a much better job!

Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year everyone! I for one am glad last year is over as it didn't end too well when I didn't get rehired for my teaching job due to not enough space for me and I just dealt with a big plumbing issue, which discovered a mold issue. :(
However, on a more positive note, I gained many new friends from around the world thanks to my teaching blog, Facebook page, teaching stores, etc. Thank you to each and everyone of you for your support. Don't forget to check out Facebook all day today for Flash Freebies and Always Free products from me and some of my friends! I also blessed to work part time for The Learning Station. They believe in me, appreciate all of my help, and have truly been the best bosses I've ever had! I feel very blessed.
Today, I have put the following products on sale for just $1. Did I say $1? Yup, I sure did!!! I did this last year and somebody bought all 10 of them! Let's see if anyone makes the plunge this year. You won't see them at this price again until maybe next year! You will also notice I'm redoing my covers!!! I hope you like them! They will stay at this price until I wake up on Friday!!!
