Happy first Tuesday of March! It is getting cooler again here in Florida. Back to the 60's and 70's after several weeks of the 80's. I would appreciate as many prayers as possible as I found out last Wednesday that my dog has possible heart disease. She seems healthy at home other than a small cough that won't go away, but apparently not as healthy as I thought. :(
Last Wednesday, I first gave the 2nd grader a review sheet I created that maybe I'll put up for sale some day of a mixture of skills they were reviewing in class: Missing Number for Addition, How many quarts equal 1 gallon, How many days in a year, How many inches in a foot, how many feet in a yard, writing dollar and decimal point with just coins, writing dollar and decimal point with dollars and coins, and skip counting by 3's and 4's.
After I helped her with that we worked on missing number (product) for multiplication using my Gymnastics Multiplication Missing Number Task Cards. These are for factors 0, 1, and 2 only. Children can write on the cards if laminated. The game board is not included, but you can grab it HERE with my sight word game. Land on a gymnast you get to go again. She absolutely loved this game! The cards can be used as traditional task cards.
We then worked on more Roman numerals from 50 into the 300's using my Roman Numeral Task Cards. I put these with a St. Patrick's Day game board. Land on a leprechaun go back to start. She wanted to make them good and go again so that is how we played it. The game board does NOT come with these task cards, but it is available in my store. The cards can be used like traditional task cards. So far there are 78 cards!
After seeing she had missed some with the coins and dollars and coins on the worksheet, I ended tutoring doing a several more with her. She did a much better job!
Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Tutoring Tuesdays - February 27th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! Wow, already the last Tuesday of February. Where has time gone?
Last week I started out working with the 2nd grader on 4 Digit Subtraction using my 4 Digit Subtraction Regrouping Task Cards. Yes she is working on 4 digit problems in 2nd grade. She did a pretty good job. I put it with a game board that she chose. This game board does not come with these cards. You can use the cards as traditional task cards. It comes with a recording sheet and answer key.
Next we worked on multiplication. We focused on multiplying with factors of 0, 1, and 2 using my Winter Animals Multiplication Games. If she landed on a winter animal she got to go again. There are 14 games included in this set.
We then worked more on Roman Numerals using my Roman Numeral Task Cards. We especially worked on numbers in the 30's, 40's and 50's.
We finished tutoring with a little bit of telling time to the 5 minutes using elapsed time to the hour, hour and half, and two hours. We used my Telling Time the 5 Minutes Task Cards. I added a spinner that I created that I plan to add as an exclusive freebie sometime soon in my Facebook Group. We again used a game that is sold with other products that you can purchase HERE.

Tutoring Tuesdays - February 20th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! You survived Valentine's Day and all the sugar after it! We are just a month away until spring. It already feels like spring here in Florida as we have been in the 80's for a couple of weeks now. I LOVE it!
I tutored on Thursday last week because the 2nd grader was sick on Wednesday. We started out again counting dollars and coins while writing the amount out with the dollar sign and decimal point. We used my Counting Dollars and Coins Task Cards. I again put it with a game board that you can get here. The game board doesn't come with the task cards, but you can use the task cards for Scoot, Quiz Quiz Trade, centers, small groups, etc. There is a list of ideas included with the cards along with an answer key and recording sheet.
After we worked on that skill we worked on Roman Numerals to 30 using my Roman Numerals Clip It Cards. You can have your students clip them or even circle the answer if laminated. They can also be placed on each desk to play Scoot. She did a great job, only missing one. You can check out a picture on my previous blog post!
We then worked on beginning multiplication skills using my Multiplication Equal Groups Groups Task Cards. She circled groups of 2, 3, and 4. The cards also have a few that go to 5 or 6. There are 18 task cards in all.
We finished tutoring practicing multiplying with 0 and 1 using my Presidents Day Multiplication Race. These cards go up to 10X10 and come with the game board included.

Tutoring Tuesdays - February 13th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow for those who celebrate!
First I'd love to let you know that the TPT sale is going on Wednesday and Thursday, February 14th and 15th. Click on the picture to check out my store where even Bundles will be on sale. Bundles are already on sale for 20 to 30% off on a typical day. You'll be saving up to 55% off my bundles during the sale. You truly can't beat that! Be sure to use the code XOXO at checkout.
The 2nd grader was on top of her game as we had time to do several activities and games last week. We started out working on counting dollars and coins while writing it out with the dollar sign and decimal point. We used my Counting Dollars and Coins Task Cards. I put it with a game board like I usually do. The game board is not included with the set. It includes a recording sheet and answer key so you can play Scoot, Quiz, Quiz Trade, etc.
We next worked on Roman Numbers to 13 using my Roman Numerals Clip It Cards. She knew all but number 13!
We then did a quick multiplication game that I bought on TPT from another seller to practice multiplying by 2's. She only missed 2x0 and 2x1. She did terrific!
Next, we worked on telling time to the 5 minutes using my Telling Time to the 5 Minutes Task Cards. I again put it with a game board. We used my new unicorn game board. The game board is not included with this set of task cards, but the cards come with a bunch of suggestions!
Then we worked on mixed number fractions using my Mixed Number Clip It Cards. Here she was given a circle of a fraction, whole number, or mixed number and had to identify it.
We finished tutoring with a few 3 Digit Subtraction Task Cards that you can see in my previous blog post.
