  1. I teach third grade here in CA. We'll be starting in math with place value and number sense. I really want to spend much more time on a foundational number sense at the beginning of the year. There are always a handful that really don't seem to have that. Anyway, congrats on your milestone!

  2. We will be working on reviewing Numbers 0-10 for Math, and Parts of Speech (Nouns) for Language Arts.

  8. This year I will be teaching 1st grade. In Math our district starts off with time and geometry then move into number sense. In Language Arts start with common and Proper nouns.

  9. Hi Brian,
    I teach first grade and my students generally have learning difficulties, so I will start off the year with a Kindergarten review in math and reading. Math will be making five using dot cards and ten frames. Language, I am working on doing something different this year, so I am not exactly sure what that will be as of yet.

  11. Kindergarten, and CCRS for Math and Language Arts. We started the Math last year. This year we are adding Language Arts.

  13. I teach Special Education in a self-contained middle school aka I am teaching preschool- 4th grade ish ELA and math curriculum. It all depends on the kiddo!

  18. I teach 3rd grade. I looped up with my class from 2nd. We will revive gin with place value review and addition. In LA we begin with character traits. Love your blog!
