Positive Fridays - Week of May 19th, 2014

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Well this week's post (I know I missed last week as well so busy!) will be short as I am exhausted and need some sleep before tomorrow's data trend meeting where we decide where to place students for next school year.

What I really want to share is what I received this e-mail from a parent.  A wonderful parent wrote me such an amazing letter and copied it to administration.  He thanked me for turning his child's behavior around.  His child's teacher before I came is amazing in her own right.  I believe this child just simply needed me and maybe works better for a male teacher, who knows.  He has made so much progress academically, which he thanked me for as well.  I hope to stay in touch with this family as I have with others through the years.

When parents are supportive and work with teachers as a team like this child's parents and grandparents have done, the child succeeds.  That is what teaching is all about!  If this child's parents and grandparents see this.  Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!  Please stay in touch!

Don't forget to also check out the previous blog post for a freebie and also to enter two giveaways.  One giveaway ends Friday at 8pm.

Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings.  Keep on smiling!
