Tutoring Tuesdays - January 16th, 2018

Welcome back to Tutoring Tuesdays! After a couple of weeks off of tutoring I tutored last Wednesday. I hope each of you enjoyed your extra day off this week celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr.

This week we mostly worked on 1 more or 1 less to 1,000. I focused mostly on numbers where the hundred's or ten's place changes as that is where she has difficulty. For example what comes after 299 or 349. What comes before 500 or 750. We used my new Numbers to 1,000 Penguins Race. As she showed me again if the kids write really tiny on the cards it will fit the numbers, but I recommend using a white board or the recording sheet that is included. It comes with a game board or you can use it for Scoot, Quiz Quiz Trade, etc.

That took most of the hour. Then we worked on measurement to the nearest half inch. I planned to work on the nearest quarter inch with her, but her mom told me she had just had difficulty with half inch so I used these cards for half inch instead. The answer key that comes with my Measurement to the Nearest Quarter Inch Penguins is for quarter inch, but use it as you see fit. I made them both with the box in case you want to laminate them and cut them out for a mini center or small group or without the box to be used as a worksheet. You can download this for FREE by clicking on the picture! Did I say FREE? Yup! Please leave positive feedback if you like this center/printable. Remember it cost me money to create this for you as I pay for the clip art and the fonts. Thank you!

As always thank you for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!
