Happy New Year 2017

Happy New Year! I tutored one very amazing girl throughout this year and found out I went to elementary school with her father. Now how cool is that? It's funny how you reconnect sometimes. I am also still working for The Learning Station. It's been a tough year for me trying to find a full time job with health benefits and have had some health issues. I'm hopeful that 2017 will be the most incredible year ever!

I am again putting my top 10 products on sale until I wake up on January 2nd for just $1.15. They are valued from $2 to $6. Stock up now as many of these won't be this price again until next New Year and some will likely not be as new ones move into the top 10. I have two new ones that did just that this past year. Click any of the covers to go to the teaching product to purchase it. Don't forget to leave positive feedback so you get credit for future purchases. Thank you!

Happy New Year 2016!

Happy New Year everyone!  I spent the past year tutoring students, making tons of new products (415 are in my TPT store), working for The Learning Station, and spending a lot of time with  my 85 year old Grandparents (watching Detroit Tiger and Orlando Magic games and playing cards with them and their elderly friends).

To celebrate the new year as I have the past two years, I am placing my top 10 products on sale again!  This year the sale will be $1.15 instead of the usual $1.  The reason is TPT charges us sellers a .15 cent transaction if you don't fill your cart with at least $3 worth so I take a hit each time that happens.  These products I am putting on sale typically cost between $2 and $6 so you are getting an amazing deal!  Most of my top 10 are still the same as last year, but the order has changed a little and a different product did jump into the top 10 at number 9! When I wake up on January 2nd, the price will go back to full price.

Have you purchased any of these before and used them with your students? If so how did they work out? I'm always looking to improve!  Suggestions for the new year feel free to let me know. Comprehension is pretty much a no go as I find it difficult to write on a specific grade level.

Search and Find Math Facts - Highlighting Fun!

Happy Veteran's Day!  Thank you to any of you who have fought for our country.  God bless you!

Often times Math is one of those subjects that children just don't care for, especially the girls.  Why not make Math fun?  I am a huge believer in using manipulatives and food to help children enjoy Math.  Let's face it, worksheets are usually boring and not engaging for students.

I decided to try to come up with an idea to turn a boring worksheet into something that might be engaging and fun!  In this set of Math worksheets the children a highlighter or a crayon to highlight the Math facts.  You could laminate it and they could highlight it with a thin dry erase marker or circle them.  For example for 5's facts they would highlight all math problems that equal 5.  I have included multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction.  I went to 12's facts in this.  1's, 2's, and 3's are combined and use 3 different colored highlighters due to there being less facts.  Leave me a comment if 1st and 2nd grade teachers would be interested in ones with just addition and subtraction.

Try out the 6's for free by clicking on the preview.  Click the picture to check it out!
