Spring Break Fun!

Last week the kiddos were off school and after I subbed in 2nd grade on the 22nd I headed for a fun country music concert in Melbourne, Florida called Runway Country Music Festival. It was 3 days and a great birthday celebration since my birthday was the 21st. I got the tickets though for Christmas.

Day 1 was a bit of a drag at first as I waited at least an hour and half just to get inside and find myself a seat (I had general admission). I did get in though in time to see the two singers I wanted to see the most Sara Evans and Dierks Bentley. It rained lightly during Sara's set so she pulled out an umbrella and sang in the rain. She even had on heels! Dierks was excellent too.

Day 2 and 3 I got there before the first performer took the stage and got right in, no wait time! I saw some up and coming singers like The Farm, Parmalee, The Tobacco Road Band (I got to meet 3 of the band members and got their autographs on a 5 song CD they gave for free), and the LoCash Cowboys to name a few. There were also some bigger named artists Craig Morgan, Lady Antebellum, Lynard Skynrd, and Billy Currington. Billy even brought his dog out for his song "Like a Dog." It rained for 2 hours on Sunday and the wind was really strong. Charlie Daniels Band hand to cancel. Their equipment got ruined otherwise it was a fun time! Check out a few of my pictures of the fun time I had. There is even one in my new glasses. I can't see as well as I used to distance wise, I mostly just use them for driving.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings. Keep on smiling!

Positive Fridays - Week of March 26th

It's Friday.  TGIF friends, fans, family, teachers, parents, and students!  Now onto my wonderful positives for the week.

- Last Friday, I had the chance to teach 2nd graders, which surprisingly despite most my experience being with 2nd graders, I've hardly had the chance to sub for.  I was beyond excited and these 2nd graders did not let me know.  I had a fun day with them and they worked so hard for me.  At the end of the day many of them told me how much they loved me and wanted me to come back and sub for them again.

- I also got to see and chat with some amazing Kindergarten and 3rd grade students as they got dropped off in the morning while I stood outside my door waiting on the 2nd graders.  It is great to see them always so excited to see me and got my day off to a great start!  One of the 3rd graders later brought me a balloon as a belated birthday gift!

That is the end of my subbing updates for this week as I have been on spring break!  However, I did hear from a parent of a child who sent me a super nice e-mail that put a huge smile on my face!

- I hit 30,000 views on my blog and 175 followers.  I also have 185 fans on my FB page.  Thank you all so very much.  I started my blog simply for fun and didn't expect it to becoming such a huge success.  Thank you for the many nice comments.  Those mean the world to me!

- I have spent my spring break making many new products for you all to enjoy.  Wander through my previous posts to see them and be ready for another freebie on Saturday.  It will be go live as I am being dunked in the dunking booth (yeah you heard that right) at a Family Fun Fest.  Word has it, it will be video taped and if so I'll be sure to post it for everyone so you can all laugh at me!  I will also either be running the dunk booth or the bounce house!  If you are in Brevard County and want to come out and watch, visit with me, or let your kids come and have some free food and do fun activities send me an e-mail tigermagic@bellsouth.net for details.

I hope that you have had a great week and have some great positives to share with me and my fans!  Thanks as always for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings!
