Happy Tuesday! Tomorrow is my birthday. I'll be 39! I will post an exclusive FREEBIE in my VIP Facebook Group (not the same as my page). Hop on over by clicking HERE to get it.
Last week we started tutoring practicing division by 2 using both ways for division using my Puppy Division by 2 Race. If you land on a puppy you get to go again! You can grab this one also for FREE in my VIP Facebook Group. If you don't teach division you can use the game board with any cards. Find it in the file section of the page.
Next we worked on Perimeter using my new Perimeter Task Cards. Mostly just adding the 4 sides of a rectangle, but we did a few with 2 of the sides having a missing number. She did an amazing job and didn't miss a single question! I again put it with a game board that isn't included, but you can use it with any game board or any way that traditional task cards can be used for!
Then we worked on Multiplying by 3's using my a bump game from my Multiplication Bump Facts Fluency. She had a blast and didn't miss, but a couple!
We finished with some 4 digit subtraction, which she did outstanding on!
Thank you for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Puppy Behavior Freebie!
TGIF my wonderful friends! This might be the last Friday that I have off for awhile. I am still on a mission to find a new teaching job. The children go back to school in Brevard County, except for Kindergarten on Wednesday, and the Kindergarten kiddos start a week from Monday. I may end up subbing next week!
Last year I was able to make amazing relationships with so many wonderful children. While I won't get to see them again this year, which is sad, I will likely get to see some of those wonderful children again and meet many more. The more children I can put a smile on their face so they go home happy the better! A smile is contagious! Many 3rd graders asked me last year why I give them treats, pencils, positive notes, bracelets, etc. and I told them just to make you smile. You smile, I'll smile, and then someone else will smile! A smile goes a long way!
One of the ways that made the 3rd/4th graders smile was when I handed out a positive behavior note to each child for making such excellent choices. I did this periodically while subbing all year. I wish I had the money to buy the ink to do it daily! The children really loved it and had huge smiles on their faces! So to start the school year for those of you going back to school in August I have these really cute puppy positive behavior notes. I can't wait to use them myself!!! Click the picture to download them and I would appreciate a positive rating and comments! :-) I'd also love to hear what your kids reaction was when you hand them out! :-)
As always thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Summer Linky Party
I was invited to join a fun linky party from Traditions, Laughter, and Happily Ever After. Click her button to join in on the fun!

I really haven't done a whole lot special this summer. I have had a blast babysitting my 7 year old nephew once or twice a week all summer. He'll be in 2nd grade next year. I had fun bowling with him and my brother.
I have been super busy applying for jobs like crazy, hoping to land a job at a school who loves me for me and that I can make a huge difference in the lives of children. The more children that I can make smile the better!
I have also been busy going through oodles of boxes and sorting them into bins so if I can get that dream job I can easily bring them into the classroom. I really love these tubs with the handles on them that attach to the lids to keep the lids closed. I got them at Wal-Mart for about $9. They are nice and sturdy!
I have also been working on a ton of new products! One of the games I made this summer is a puppy themed sight word game using dolch sight words for 2nd grade. After reading the words children turn over cards to see how many points they earned. They can keep the points or keep turning over cards and add up the points. However, if they get a 0 they go back to 0 points including in all previous rounds.
This is my fun back to school Fraction Centers. It goes well with the 3rd grade Math standards for fractions. It would also be perfect for review in 4th grade when the children head back to school before delving into harder fractions.
