Happy Tuesday! Wow already the last week of January! 2 weeks ago I didn't tutoring, but I tutored again last week. I had a successful tutoring session as she did a fantastic job on several different skills.
We started out working on finding the denominator of a fraction using my Finding The Denominator Task Cards. You can have children circle the denominator if you laminate it. There are 24 task cards in black and white, a recording sheet, and cover page. These are FREE! Please leave positive feedback and a positive rating if you download it.
Next we worked on fractions of a whole number using my Fractions of a Whole Number Task Cards. We worked on 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4. There are 24 task cards for those and I have 24 more in my set for 1/5 through 1/9 for 48 task cards in all. These come on black and white only and there are 2 recording sheets and answer keys.
We then worked on multiplication tables. In class she has to do them in 3 minutes with the numbers mixed up like you see below. You can get these FREE in my VIP Facebook group. There are currently 24 of them with answer keys.
We finished tutoring doing several division problems using my New Year's Division Task Cards. You can see those in my previous blog post by clicking HERE. She even made up one on her own with 7 digits and solved it. She is a third grader! Impressive! These cards 4 digits.

Tutoring Tuesdays - December 25th, 2018
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I meant to share my tutoring fun a little before Christmas, but got too busy. So I will share it the day after, even though it is now Wednesday. I tutor actually on Wednesdays, but share the week after. There will be no tutoring the next two weeks, but I do have some fun things for you including my most popular products for only $1.50! Stay tuned for that date. It will be soon!
This week I started working with her on very basic order of operations by learning to use the parentheses first. We used my new Ornaments Order of Operations Race, which you can currently only get in my VIP Facebook group. It is a FREE download!!! Join here. There are 24 cards, a recording sheet, and answer key.
Next we worked on identifying fractions from using halves all the way to tenths using my new Clip It Identifying Fractions Task Cards. There are 24 task cards in all. There is a recording sheet and answer key. You don't have to have them clip it, you can have them just circle it if you prefer.
We finished tutoring working on some PreAlgebra using my PreAlgebra Balancing Number Equations Snowballs. This comes with a game board, recording sheet, and answer key. There are 24 cards in all. You can use them like traditional task cards and skip the game board if you prefer.

Tutoring Tuesdays - September 25th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! Wow, already the very last Tuesday of September!!!
Last week I started out working on subtracting across zeroes with the 3rd grader using my new Fall Monsters Subtracting Across Zeroes Task Cards. There are 24 task cards in color and black white, a recording sheet, and answer key!
Next we worked on 2 digit by 1 digit multiplication using my FREE Mermaids 2 Digit by 1 Digit Multiplication Task Cards. There are 24 task cards in color and black and white and it also includes a recording sheet and answer key. This set works on the lower facts. If you download this please show your kindness by leaving a perfect rating and positive feedback. Remember I spend my own money on fonts and clip art. It is also 17 pages and they prefer that I keep freebies to 10 pages. It has been awhile since I've made something for free so I decided to make this free anyway.
I finished tutoring by doing a little bit of long division dividing by 2 using my Unicorns Long Division Dividing by 2 Task Cards. Can you believe in 3rd grade she is doing long division already? I'll be working more on this with her next week. It includes 24 task cards, a recording sheet, and answer key.

Tutoring Tuesdays - June 5th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! First Tuesday in June man is the year flying by! Be sure to read through the whole blog post to grab your FREEBIE!
This week, I started tutoring reviewing one more with numbers in the hundreds using my one more game in my FREE game Surfing One More One Less Race. I had her roll one die (dice) and move that many spaces. Then she told me what the number would be if it was one more. If she or I landed on a shark we got chased back to start, but if we landed on a surfer we got to go again. She did a great job!
Next we worked on reviewing ordering numbers in the thousands using my new Popsicles Ordering Numbers in the Thousands Task Cards. I gave her 4 cards (they are all color coded) and had her put them in order from least to greatest. You could have students order from greatest to least, but the answer key is for least to greatest. This skill she had a lot of difficulty with so this week I will have her work on numbers in the hundreds and then move back to the thousands next week.
We then worked on one less with numbers in the hundreds using my Surfing One More One Less Race game. She rolled one die (dice) and moved that many spaces and told me the number that is one less. She only had difficulty with one on this game.
We finished tutoring working a little bit with counting money with $20 bills.

Tutoring Tuesdays - March 20th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! Tomorrow is my birthday. I'll be 39! I will post an exclusive FREEBIE in my VIP Facebook Group (not the same as my page). Hop on over by clicking HERE to get it.
Last week we started tutoring practicing division by 2 using both ways for division using my Puppy Division by 2 Race. If you land on a puppy you get to go again! You can grab this one also for FREE in my VIP Facebook Group. If you don't teach division you can use the game board with any cards. Find it in the file section of the page.
Next we worked on Perimeter using my new Perimeter Task Cards. Mostly just adding the 4 sides of a rectangle, but we did a few with 2 of the sides having a missing number. She did an amazing job and didn't miss a single question! I again put it with a game board that isn't included, but you can use it with any game board or any way that traditional task cards can be used for!
Then we worked on Multiplying by 3's using my a bump game from my Multiplication Bump Facts Fluency. She had a blast and didn't miss, but a couple!
We finished with some 4 digit subtraction, which she did outstanding on!

Tutoring Tuesdays - March 13th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! My dog seems to be doing better. She doesn't have a heart murmur, but they still think she has heart disease and is on medication.
Last week, first I gave the 2nd grader another mixture of skills worksheet: adding 2 digit numbers without regrouping horizontally, ordering gram, kilogram, pound, and ounce by smallest to largest and picking one is more than a pound or less than an ounce from a group of pictures. Someday I may put these into a packet.
Next we worked on subtracting across 3 zeroes using my St. Patrick's Day Bugs Subtracting Across Zeroes Task Cards. I love putting task cards with a game board so I used a game board that comes with my sight word game with these cards. Land on a bug go back to start, but land on a rainbow you get to go to the other side. So much fun! She drew little people on the rainbows! She did a great job!
Then we worked on Dividing by 1 using both both types of division. We used my Easter Eggs Division by 0 and 1 Race, which is a FREEBIE! These cards come with the fun game board. Land on an egg with a snake go back to start, but land on an adorable chick they get to go again! She did a super job! If you download the game please show your kindness by leaving positive perfect feedback. Remember it cost me money to buy the clip art and fonts. If you can't use the division cards, you can use the game board with any set of task cards or flash cards!
We finished by using my Multiplication Wheels for multiplying by 3's and did a few more money problems.

Featured Freebie Fridays - August 24th, 2017
Happy Friday! Those who haven't started back to teaching yet I hope you enjoy your last week or two before you head back. The rest of you, I hope are having a successful year so far!
I have a brand new freebie this week that I was going to maybe get to in tutoring this week, but she had a dentist appointment so I will do it with her next week. Crayons Adding 9s Facts Race. In this game students solve an equation and then take turns rolling one die (dice) or a spinner and move that many spaces on the game board. A few of the spaces say back to start (sends the child back to start) or go again. The first one to the finish wins. Click any of the pictures to grab it for FREE. Please show your kindness by leaving positive feedback.

Featured Freebie Fridays - August 4th, 2017
Happy Friday! Teachers are back to work here in the county I live in and kids return on August 10th. I think the soon to be 2nd grader who I tutor starts on August 9th. So I know many of you are returning to the classroom soon if you haven't already. I wish you a wonderful year!!!
Before I get to my freebie this week I did not post one last week because I have been working on setting up a new store! I currently have 777 products up there as I write this. Kind of funny it wound up all 7's but it did. Maybe it's lucky right? I will have the ability soon to give coupons and also you get reward points for leaving feedback (including on freebies) and sharing the products. That part is in the works. Come be one of my first followers!!! Click HERE. You will need to register an account to even download freebies and get the rewards.
I used this game the first day of Kindergarten a few years ago when I last taught. ABC Race is a game where students pick a card and name the capital letter. They then roll one die (dice) and move that many spaces on the game board. The first to the finish wins. Very simple game that is easy for Kindergarten students. You can differentiate by having the student tell what sound the letter they pick makes or name something that begins with that letter. Grab it on TPT by clicking the pictures or on Teacher's Dojo by clicking HERE.
If you download it please leave positive feedback!

Featured Freebie Fridays - July 7th, 2017
Goodbye June, hello July! Wow the first Friday of July. Time is flying bye! School starts in about a month in the county I live in. Stores are starting to put school supplies on sale.
This week's FREEBIE is a fun Bump game. This game is called Add or Subtract Bump. Children roll two dice and spin a spinner to see if they add the dice together or subtract the smaller number from the larger number. Then place the correct sum or difference on the number of the game board. If the other student gets the same sum or difference they bump their partner off unless that partner has two counters or cubes on the number. Then they just lose a turn. The first to get rid of all 10 counters or cubes wins. So much fun!

Tutoring Tuesdays - July 4th, 2017
Happy Independence Day to those of you in America! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that our own children enjoy the fireworks!
Last week in tutoring we worked on 3 digit addition regrouping by using my 3 Digit Addition Regrouping Dragon Task Cards with the game board that comes with it. If you land on the dragon it blows smoke at you and chases you back to start! So much fun! I again had her write on the cards with a dry erase marker. They come with a recording sheet if you want to play Scoot or something else with your students.
We next reviewed Multiplication with 0 and 1's facts using the Write The Room Multiplication 0's and 1's Facts center, which is a freebie! I simply laid them on the floor and had her match them rather than walk around the room and put them up since this is tutoring and not in school and in a family's house. I had her write the number, but you can also have them write the number word! Please leave positive feedback if you download, thank you!
Then I taught her tally marks with my Clip It Apple Tally Marks. These go from 0 to 20. You have the child clip the answer. If you circle the answer on the back it makes it self checking. You can also have the student just circle the answer if you laminate them. I love using the clothespins because it works on fine motor control too. I did add a recording sheet so you can even use them to play Scoot!

Wow, half the year has already gone. Where in the world did time go? I wish each of you a great 4th of July weekend if you celebrate here in the United States!
This week's featured freebie is a blast from the past. Insects I Have Who Has CVC Short A Real Words and Nonsense Words is a fun game that makes your students listen carefully to their fellow students as well as focusing on sounding out words. You will know if they truly understand how to read CVC words and not just memorize because on some of them they have to decode the nonsense or silly made up words! If you enjoy the game please leave a perfect rating and kind feedback. If you find an error please email me and give me the opportunity to fix it before giving a rating. Thank you!
