Happy last Tuesday in July! Where in the world has time gone! I'll have a special announcement at the end of the blog post so be sure to read all the way to the bottom!!!
This week I worked with her on 5 digit addition regrouping using my 5 Digit Addition Regrouping Summer Task Cards. It includes 24 task cards in color and black and white. I put them with a game board in tutoring, which does not come with this set, but you can use them as traditional task cards. They work perfect for the game "Scoot." These include a recording sheet and answer key!
We finished tutoring practicing elapsed time to the hour and half an hour using my Telling Time to the Hour and Half Hour Task Cards. It had been a few weeks as they were on vacation, but she is starting to grasp it. You can see how I used those cards for elapsed time by checking out my last Tutoring Tuesday post HERE.
I am happy to announce the Teachers Pay Teachers Back to School sale on Wednesday August 1st and Thursday August 2nd, 2018! You will get 25% off my store by using the code: BTSFRESH at checkout. Please note all of TPT will NOT be 25% off. That is up to each individual store. I have set everyone of my products for sale at 20% off and the code BTSFRESH makes it 25%. My bundles you will save far more than 25% off as they are already 20 to 30% off. So take advantage and shop bundles while you can get them for an excellent price! Click the picture to follow my store and start putting things in your cart for Wednesday! I will also have my Teacher's Dojo and Teacher's Notebook stores on sale for 20%. They do not have a code to save more.
Thank you for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Tutoring Tuesdays - December 12th, 2017
Happy Tuesday! Just a couple of weeks until Christmas for those who celebrate! The kids are getting restless so check out some of the fun things I did in tutoring that you may want to use in your classrooms.
First we reviewed nouns using my new Winter Activities Nouns Task Cards! This new set includes 18 task cards and a fun game board. Land on a child doing a winter activity and children get to go again! So much fun. Of course the task cards can be used in traditional ways as well like Scoot, Quiz, Quiz Trade, etc.
Next we worked on plural nouns with my new Plural Nouns Christmas Task Cards. This set doesn't come with a game board, but I put it with a fun game board anyway as that is a fun way to use task cards during tutoring or in the classroom at a center. This set includes 24 task cards, a recording sheet, and answer key, and all the sentences have to do with Christmas.
We finished with reviewing nouns and verbs using my Nouns and Verbs Task Cards. This is a big set of 48 Task Cards, recording sheets, and answer key. It does not come with a game board, but I again put it with a game board to make it more fun in tutoring.

Tutoring Tuesdays - July 4th, 2017
Happy Independence Day to those of you in America! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that our own children enjoy the fireworks!
Last week in tutoring we worked on 3 digit addition regrouping by using my 3 Digit Addition Regrouping Dragon Task Cards with the game board that comes with it. If you land on the dragon it blows smoke at you and chases you back to start! So much fun! I again had her write on the cards with a dry erase marker. They come with a recording sheet if you want to play Scoot or something else with your students.
We next reviewed Multiplication with 0 and 1's facts using the Write The Room Multiplication 0's and 1's Facts center, which is a freebie! I simply laid them on the floor and had her match them rather than walk around the room and put them up since this is tutoring and not in school and in a family's house. I had her write the number, but you can also have them write the number word! Please leave positive feedback if you download, thank you!
Then I taught her tally marks with my Clip It Apple Tally Marks. These go from 0 to 20. You have the child clip the answer. If you circle the answer on the back it makes it self checking. You can also have the student just circle the answer if you laminate them. I love using the clothespins because it works on fine motor control too. I did add a recording sheet so you can even use them to play Scoot!

St. Patrick's Day Linky Party
The next holiday that will be here before we know it is St. Patrick's Day! It is the perfect time to study and learn about Ireland and tie it in with some fun St. Patrick's Day games, centers, and activities.
My newest creation is for St. Patrick's Day focusing on addition facts to 10. There is a fun game board included where the student goes back to start if they land on the leprechaun. You can also just use the cards as flash cards, to play Scoot, Quiz, Quiz Trade or any other cooperative learning game.
I have also added beginning sound puzzles to my fun St. Patrick's Day Kindergarten Puzzles. This puzzle set also include alphabet matching, cvc words, counting to 20, and number words.
Check out the linky party to see more of my St. Patrick's Day products including some freebies. Many of mine I created as far back as 2012! I also have some friends who have linked up some of their fun St. Patrick's Day creations!

500 TPT Follower Freebie!
Wow in the past few days I have flown past 500 followers on Teachers Pay Teachers, I am so thankful for each and everyone of you who follow me over there and also on Teacher's Notebook and anywhere else! You are so kind to follow me and share with your friends.
Since I hit 500 followers on TPT I felt it was time make another freebie. Did you know that almost 25% of my 202 items are FREE? That's right, I enjoy putting my things in the hands of teachers and parents so children can have fun all over the world.
Ok now to the 500 follower freebie. This freebie is geared toward 4th-6th graders. This is a set of 24 task cards on adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. These are not word problems. I do have a word problem set in my store for adding and subtracting fractions.
Click on the pictures to get your freebie. Please leave kind feedback if you do. That will encourage me to create more freebies for you!

Task Card Fun
If you follow my TPT and TN stores you know that I have been cranking out Task Cards. Most of my Task Cards are 6 to a page to help you save paper. My basic addition and subtraction to 10 Task Cards are 4 to a page so I could make the text larger for the little ones.
Some ideas for using task cards:
Multiplication TPT or TN
Counting Coins TPT or TN
Addition and Subtraction Regrouping TPT or TN
Elapsed Time TPT
If you have suggestions for task cards please list them in the comment. I love to make resources that benefit my loyal customers!
