Many of you are finally back teaching the kiddos. I wish you a successful school year!
Last Thursday, we reviewed telling time to the 5 minutes with the amazing 2nd grader! We played Apple Race Time to the 5 Minutes. After telling the time, the student rolls one die (dice) or a spinner and moves that many spaces. Watch out for the worm as it will send you back to start. There is also a recording sheet and answer key so if you would prefer to use them like traditional task cards for Scoot or another game or activity you can!
Then we reviewed comparing numbers to 120 with my Clip It School Comparing Numbers to 120. It is perfect for also working on fine motor skills as children clip the answer. I have also included a recording sheet and answer key if you would prefer to use it for Scoot or another activity. You can also laminate them and have the students circle the answer.
Next we worked more on 9's addition facts with my FREEBIE Crayons 9 Addition Facts Race where children solve an addition problem on crayons and move around the game board. Some of the notebook papers on the game board say to go back to start or go again.
We finished tutoring reviewing putting numbers in order using my Number Order to 120 Task Cards. I put them with a game board that I have as she likes playing games. You can put them with any game board or play Scoot, Quiz, Quiz trade or any other cooperative group game, place at a center, use for early finishers, etc. There is a recording sheet and answer key included!

Tutoring Tuesdays - August 15th, 2017
Tutoring Tuesdays is back! The little one was on vacation for a couple of weeks and I was busy setting up a brand new store so I did not write any post on Tuesdays.
We first reviewed 2 digit by 2 digit subtraction regrouping using my 2 Digit Subtraction Regrouping Apple Task Cards. I have her write on the cards as I laminated them. Otherwise you can give them scrap paper. I use the game board that came with it but you are welcome to use it for Scoot or any other cooperative group activity. If a student lands on an apple with a worm they get chased back to start. She decided to put the worms in jail so it was a safe spot. She drew jail bars over the worm. She has an awesome imagination that many kids don't have anymore. I let her as to me it's all about the child learning the skill and she did terrific!
Next we worked more on the 9's addition trick that I mentioned before using this game board that I will be adding to the Primary Reading and Math Bundle. They simple roll one die (dice) and move that many spaces on the game board.
Last we worked a little bit on 3 digit addition regrouping with my 3 Digit Addition 4 In A Row game. There are 4 different game boards. Children can either share a game board like I did with her and spin two spinners and adding them together. Then they find it on the board and put a counter on it. Get 4 in a row they win! This way they can wind up blocking each other. Or you can give each student a game board and they just try to get 4 in a row with no chance of anyone blocking them.

Tutoring Tuesdays - July 18th, 2017
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I had a blast tutoring again last Thursday.
We first worked on 2 digit subtraction with regrouping by using my 2 Digit Subtraction with Regrouping Frogs Task Cards. I put it with a game board that I have with another product. She does a terrific job of understanding how to regroup and she's only going into 2nd grade! Pretty impressive. I again laminated the cards and let her write on them and wipe off. She asked for a mermaid game so I'll have to make a mermaid game for Thursday! Be looking for it!
Next we worked on my Apple Tally Marks Counting Puzzles. I gave her half of them to put together and she did an incredible job.
Then she worked on one of the Addition Wheels that I made. You can see the post I wrote about the Addition Wheels by going HERE.

Tutoring Tuesdays - July 4th, 2017
Happy Independence Day to those of you in America! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that our own children enjoy the fireworks!
Last week in tutoring we worked on 3 digit addition regrouping by using my 3 Digit Addition Regrouping Dragon Task Cards with the game board that comes with it. If you land on the dragon it blows smoke at you and chases you back to start! So much fun! I again had her write on the cards with a dry erase marker. They come with a recording sheet if you want to play Scoot or something else with your students.
We next reviewed Multiplication with 0 and 1's facts using the Write The Room Multiplication 0's and 1's Facts center, which is a freebie! I simply laid them on the floor and had her match them rather than walk around the room and put them up since this is tutoring and not in school and in a family's house. I had her write the number, but you can also have them write the number word! Please leave positive feedback if you download, thank you!
Then I taught her tally marks with my Clip It Apple Tally Marks. These go from 0 to 20. You have the child clip the answer. If you circle the answer on the back it makes it self checking. You can also have the student just circle the answer if you laminate them. I love using the clothespins because it works on fine motor control too. I did add a recording sheet so you can even use them to play Scoot!

Freebie Fridays - August 26th, 2016
Happy Friday! Those not back to teaching yet are on your way back soon! Enjoy what is left of your break.
Today's freebie is a brand new one!!! It is actually my 600th teaching product! WOW!!! Did you know over 60 are FREE???
This is a fun Place Value to 120 game. Children tell how many the base ten blocks represent and then roll a die (dice) and move that many spaces on the game board. Watch out for the worm because they taste yucky and will send them back to start! The task cards can also be used to play the game "Scoot", "Numbered Heads Together", "Quiz, Quiz Trade" or any other cooperative group activity. They can also be used at a center, small group, whole group, journals, for homework, early finishers, etc. Click the picture to grab it for free and please be kind by leaving me positive feedback as it cost me money and time to make this for you. Be sure to follow my store so you know when new freebies come out and check out my other Place Value materials!
Check out some fun freebies from myself and friends!

September Classroom Management Freebie!
It's me again, your favorite blogger. Well I hope I'm your favorite. haha I have yet another freebie for my absolutely amazing fans! I created some fun behavior notes for September that you can give your students if they have a really amazing day.
I used to buy those large cut outs and write silly fun sayings on them, put the child's name on it and date it. Then at the end of the day any child who had a good day got to take one home to their parents. The others had to wait until I picked a random day the next month. This kept the children on their toes as they wanted to make good choices so they could get a great silly fun behavior note to their parents. The parents and children both loved it!
I have used the ones I made every now and then subbing and I have received nothing, but positive feedback from the children. They work in all grade levels at least in Elementary School through 6th grade! If you teach kiddos who are older than that feel free to try them and report back to me on how it went!
Click the picture to get your behavior freebies. I hope you like them as much as I did making them. Don't forget to leave an awesome comment and rating when you download! Thanks so much my super amazing friends!
One last note go over to the right side of the page and sign up for my newsletter. Exclusive freebie to members only each month! I pick different grade levels!
As always thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!
