Children roll two dice and add them together and then add one more. On the other game students pick a card and find the number that is 1 less on the game board. They try to get 4 in a row. I have a brand new freebie this week that I was going to maybe get to in tutoring this week, but she had a dentist appointment so I will do it with her next week. Crayons Adding 9s Facts Race. In this game students solve an equation and then take turns rolling one die (dice) or a spinner and move that many spaces on the game board. Place Value to 120 Apple Race is a FREE game where children count the base ten blocks to find the standard number. They then roll one die (dice) and move that many spaces on the game board. Featured Freebie Fridays - August 4th, 2017

Happy Friday! Teachers are back to work here in the county I live in and kids return on August 10th. I think the soon to be 2nd grader who I tutor starts on August 9th. So I know many of you are returning to the classroom soon if you haven't already. I wish you a wonderful year!!!

Before I get to my freebie this week I did not post one last week because I have been working on setting up a new store! I currently have 777 products up there as I write this. Kind of funny it wound up all 7's but it did. Maybe it's lucky right? I will have the ability soon to give coupons and also you get reward points for leaving feedback (including on freebies) and sharing the products. That part is in the works. I used this game the first day of Kindergarten a few years ago when I last taught. ABC Race is a game where students pick a card and name the capital letter. They then roll one die (dice) and move that many spaces on the game board. The first to the finish wins. Very simple game that is easy for Kindergarten students. You can differentiate by having the student tell what sound the letter they pick makes or name something that begins with that letter. Featured Freebie Fridays - July 7th, 2017

Goodbye June, hello July! Wow the first Friday of July. Time is flying bye! School starts in about a month in the county I live in. Stores are starting to put school supplies on sale.

This week's FREEBIE is a fun Bump game. This game is called Add or Subtract Bump. Children roll two dice and spin a spinner to see if they add the dice together or subtract the smaller number from the larger number. Then place the correct sum or difference on the number of the game board. If the other student gets the same sum or difference they bump their partner off unless that partner has two counters or cubes on the number. Then they just lose a turn. The first to get rid of all 10 counters or cubes wins. So much fun!

This week's freebie is a simple list of 220 Sight Words. These are the sight words that are most often used in books. If children can read all of these and learn their phonics skills they read about anything! Use them for your own cards or check out all my sight word games. Many of them contain all of these words! Look for the ones that say 220 words and you'll know they are all of these. Great to use for an assessment checklist as well. In case you aren't on break yet for next year try out my new freebie Write The Room Multiplication Facts 0's and 1's. I love write the room activities because children get to get up and move around the room. Then you can use the recording sheet as a grade if you want. There are 8 total cards. They are in color only, but the recording sheet and answer keys are in b/w. My students favorite center the last year I taught was write the room and I bet your students will love it as well! This week's freebie is a blast from the past, but a favorite of many children called Fishy Sight Word Blast. Children will enjoy reading a sight word and then picking a starfish to see how many points they get. They can stop there or pick another starfish and add the number to the last starfish number. Today, I have a new freebie for you. I have been working hard on 2 digit regrouping with the 1st grader I tutor. So I decided to make a set of task cards for you too! These Sailboat 2 Digit Addition Regrouping Task Cards come with a fun board game. Of course you can still use just the cards with the recording sheet to play Scoot, Quiz Quiz Trade or any other cooperative group game, place at a center, station, or rotation, small groups, early finishers, etc. I have many suggestions included with the download. Happy Friday to everyone!!! Today's freebie is a new one that I made this week to use for tutoring. Adding and Subtracting With 3 Numbers Task Cards.

These are black and white task cards with equations with both addition and subtraction for each math problem. Children have to pay attention to the signs to know whether to add or subtract each number in the problem. These are perfect to use for Scoot, Quiz Quiz Trade, Numbered Heads Together, placed at centers, stations, or rotations, early finishers, partner work, RTI, small groups, journals as a problem of the day, send a sheet home for homework, or place with any game board like I do in tutoring. Easter may be over, but many teachers teach about animals as the year comes to a close so I thought this week I would share one of my very first FREEBIES "All About Rabbits" task cards. These cards are great for learning about Rabbits. Have your students go on the web and search for the answers to the task cards as they learn all about rabbits!

You can also read them some books on rabbits and then play Scoot, Quiz, Quiz trade, place at a literacy or science center, station, or rotation or play any other cooperative group activity.
