Featured Freebie Fridays - May 5th, 2017

Happy Friday! I hope that you have had a spectacular Teacher Appreciation Week whether it was celebrated this week or last week at your school. Do know that I appreciate you! I hope you had the chance to shop in the Teachers Pay Teachers and Teacher's Notebook sitewide sales. There is still time to shop at Teacher's Notebook. Now on to today's freebie!

Today, I have a new freebie for you. I have been working hard on 2 digit regrouping with the 1st grader I tutor. So I decided to make a set of task cards for you too! These Sailboat 2 Digit Addition Regrouping Task Cards come with a fun board game. Of course you can still use just the cards with the recording sheet to play Scoot, Quiz Quiz Trade or any other cooperative group game, place at a center, station, or rotation, small groups, early finishers, etc. I have many suggestions included with the download. I appreciate positive feedback. Please remember it does cost me money to make these freebies free for you! It just takes you a minute to click back after downloading and leaving that feedback. Please do not place freebies on any website without permission from myself, which likely will be no. I want people to download them from my store so they can give me feedback.

Once I use these in tutoring I will share pictures of the game in action.

Crabby Bossy R

Boy, those bossy r words sure can make a child crabby when they can't figure out the words because the r sound changes the vowel.  I just had to make a fun word sort to help the children practice so they won't be so crabby! haha  This word sort focuses on ar and or.  If you'd like to see an er, ir, and ur word sort please let me know in the comments below!

The activities include a word sort helping Crabby the Crabs find their way to to the correct seaweed, a cut and paste activity, and some terrific extensions to help reinforce the two r-controlled vowel sounds and some will help challenge your higher level readers and writers.
