Happy Tuesday!!! I didn't tutor a couple of weeks ago due to spring break, but I was back at it yesterday. If you haven't heard about my sick dog check out all my updates and donate or share if you can. Remember whatever you donate I will gladly give you 3 times worth the products of your choice. You would be helping me with these crazy bills and getting some great resources in return!
Don't forget to follow my store by clicking here so you don't miss any freebies or great resources!
Last week we continued working on the long division dividing by 2 digits with my 2 Digit Long Division Slime Task Cards. She absolutely loves slime so I had to create something with slime of course! She understands the steps well. I am going to continue working on this with her next week as she does make some careless mistakes from time to time. There are 24 cards in color and black and white. I have also included a recording sheet and answer key!
Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Tutoring Tuesdays - March 19th, 2019
Happy Tuesday! In 2 more days, I will be the big 40 years old!!! Before, I get to tutoring, I am doing a very special deal for my birthday and beyond!
My sweet little Shih Tzu wound up at the Animal Hospital after making continuous noises a week ago last Friday. She wound up passing away twice as they were doing xrays and they brought her back to life twice with CPR. She wound up needing oxygen and has been there quite a bit since then. She is home with me now! I have created a Go Fund Me page to help with these crazy vet bills. If you would like to donate, I will send you TRIPLE that amount in teaching resources. All you have to do is email me at tigermagic@bellsouth.net the products you want and I will get them to you in 24 hours or less. Usually quite quickly unless I'm sleeping! So if you donate $5, you'll get $15 worth of things in my store! $10 you'd get $50! $1, you'd get $3! This is far better deal than any site wide sale and you'll be helping me with my dog! Click the picture to check out my Go Fund Me, see the vet bills, and read the updates! If you can't donate, please share with your pet and animal friends! This is why the past two weeks I've posted covers, rather than in action, but I may change them out when I have time.
We started tutoring working on equivalent fractions using my Equivalent Fractions Task Cards! There are 24 cards, a recording sheet, and a sample answer key (there are too many possible answers). These are in black and white. She did a great job!
We finished tutoring working on more 4 digit by 2 digit long division task cards using my 2 Digit Long Division St. Patrick's Day Bugs Task Cards. These come in color and black and white and includes a recording sheet and answer key! She had some difficulty mostly with putting the numbers on top after figuring out how many. We will keep working on this one. She will get it! She's only in 3rd grade yet doing 5th grade math!

Tutoring Tuesdays - March 5th, 2019
Happy Tuesday! I didn't tutor a couple of weeks ago due to the child having cheerleading clinic at her school. So I was back to tutoring last Wednesday. Wait until you see what she was learning in the 3rd grade!
When I got there she first showed me what she was just taught and that was long division dividing 4 digits by 2 digits. Example 6045\20. I can't type the long division on here, but you get the picture. That's a 5th grade skill.
Well, I worked with her on a 6th grade skill. She was learning the mean of 3 digit and 5 digit numbers in school. They simply call it averaging, but it is the same thing. It is amazing to me how much advanced they are in private school than in public school. She doesn't do the Common Core craziness so I think it makes it easier for her. We worked on my Finding the Mean Task Cards. In the example, you see I wrote average on each card. The same set of cards with the word mean are also included! She miss added on a couple, but her long division was fantastic!
Next we worked on equivalent fractions using my Clip It Equivalent Fractions. She struggled some on that and part of the reason is that she was never taught how to reduce fractions so I plan to keep working with her on that. There are 24 task card, a recording sheet, and answer key.

Tutoring Tuesdays - February 19th, 2019
Happy Tuesday! No tutoring the week before due to the family being sick so that is why there was no blog post. I was back to tutoring last Wednesday though! I hope each of you had a great Valentine's Day! Valentine's Day is over, but your students still make like these fun themes and kids love hearts anyway!
We started off tutoring working on finding the whole number with a reminder of a fraction using my Fractions of a Whole Number with Remainders. These in black and white and come with a recording sheet and answer key so you can use them as you wish! After missing one she did an excellent job and didn't miss any more!
We then worked on finding the missing factor in multiplication equations using my Valentine's Day Llamas Missing Number Equations. These are in color only and come with a recording sheet, answer key, and an optional game board. Land on a Llama and the student gets to go again! She didn't miss any!
We finished tutoring working on adding and subtracting 3 fractions with like denominators using my Valentine Superheroes Adding and Subtracting Fractions Task Cards. She did an incredible job soaring through these!
We also worked on a couple of partial multiplication and addition charts that she was able to do in less than 3 minutes.

Tutoring Tuesdays - February 5th, 2019
Happy Tuesday! Wow, already February! I hope your month is off to a great start. Welcome back to teaching to those in the southern hemisphere. I hope your year is off to a great start!
We started tutoring with fractions of a whole number with a denominator of 5 through 9 using my Fractions of a Whole Number Task Cards. This resource now contains 48 task cards with denominators of 2 through 9! There are 2 recording sheets and answer keys.
Next we worked on adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators. Yes she is a 3rd grader! We used my Adding and Subtracting Fractions Task Cards. There are 24 task cards in color only, but they easily print in grey scale as you can see below. I have included a recording sheet and answer key.
We finished tutoring doing a few problems on converting and adding or subtracting cups and pints where she had to change the cups to pints or the pints to cups. We used my Adding and Subtracting Cups and Pints Task Cards. I will admit it yes right here on my blog that I am human and I had the conversions mixed up. She drew a diagram to prove to me she was correct! I realized I had switched them and it showed me that she truly knew understood the skill since she was able to teach me! I was so proud of her. The answer key has been corrected as I had 2 proofreaders so no worries there. There is a recording sheet and answer key.

Tutoring Tuesdays - October 16th, 2018
Happy Tuesday! Just a couple of more weeks until Halloween!!!
Last week in tutoring with the 3rd grader we spent the whole time working on dividing 2 digits divided by 1 digit with remainders (dividing by 2, 3, and 4) and then checking the answer using my Long Division with Remainders Pumpkins Task Cards. I had her check it using the white board, but I wrote small enough on the cards in the example to do both. I put it with a game board to make it more fun in tutoring, but these are just traditional task cards that don't come with a game board. There are 24 in all in both color and black and white. There is a recording sheet and answer key. The students will need to write small to fit the answer in the recording sheet or use lined paper!
We also did a couple with 3 digits, but didn't have much time for that. She was starting in class with 4 digits last week with remainders. Yes, in 3rd grade!

Tutoring Tuesdays - October 2nd, 2018
Happy Tuesday! October is here! Bye September! How is the weather where you are? Is it cooling off? Still very hot here in Florida!
Be sure to follow my TPT store so you don't miss anything new! Clicking HERE will automatically follow me if you are logged in! Easy! Also follow me on Teacher's Dojo (you'll have to click the follow button after logging in) where I have over 800 of my resources. Sadly, Teachers Notebook is no more. :(
I started off tutoring with the 3rd grader on long division dividing by 2 using my Unicorn Long Dividing by 2 Task Cards. She got the hang of it and was doing fantastic after the first several we did. There are 24 task cards in color and black and white. I put it with my unicorn game board, but that does not come with this set, but can be bought separately. There is a recording sheet and answer key so you can play "Scoot", put at a center, use in small groups, etc.
We finished tutoring working on checking addition with subtraction using my Check 2 Digit Addition with Subtraction Task Cards. After 1 example she did a fantastic job and didn't miss a single question! These come in color (for the border) and black and white. There are 24 task cards, a recording sheet, and answer key!
