Tutoring Tuesdays - October 2nd, 2018

Happy Tuesday! October is here! Bye September! How is the weather where you are? Is it cooling off? Still very hot here in Florida!

I started off tutoring with the 3rd grader on long division dividing by 2 using my Unicorn Long Dividing by 2 Task Cards. She got the hang of it and was doing fantastic after the first several we did. There are 24 task cards in color and black and white. I put it with my unicorn game board, but that does not come with this set, but can be bought separately. There is a recording sheet and answer key so you can play "Scoot", put at a center, use in small groups, etc. 

We finished tutoring working on checking addition with subtraction using my Check 2 Digit Addition with Subtraction Task Cards. After 1 example she did a fantastic job and didn't miss a single question! These come in color (for the border) and black and white. There are 24 task cards, a recording sheet, and answer key!

Tutoring Tuesdays - May 8th, 2018

I finally got Firefox working so clicking on the pictures will take you to the product that you can purchase.

We started tutoring last Wednesday working on rounding to the nearest dollar using my Ice Cream Monsters Rounding to the Nearest Dollar Race. Students can use the fun game board like we did or you can use the task cards as traditional task cards. Land on a monster and it stole your ice cream go back to start, but land on an ice cream cone or sundae and you get to go again! So much fun! She only missed one question. A recording sheet and answer key are included.

Next we worked on adding money using my Adding Money Regrouping Task Cards. These task cards do not come with a board game, but we used my board game that comes with my Cinco de Mayo Sight Word game to make it more fun in tutoring. You can use it as traditional task cards. A recording sheet and answer key are included. She did not miss a single question!

We finished tutored working on Multiplication and Division Fact Families using my Multiplication and Division Fact Family Houses. There are 24 task cards included. If you laminate them students can write on them with a dry erase marker. I did include a recording sheet, but they will have to write very small to fit all 4 equations. Otherwise use notebook paper. An answer key is included. She didn't miss a single fact family! The example below was printed black and white on colored card stock. They are available in color and black and white.

Freebie Fridays - September 9th, 2016

Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week with your students. The first week for many of you and others are about a month or more into the year already! Enjoy this week's freebies including a brand new one that I put up a few days ago.

Here's another new freebie for you! Apple Au and Aw Word sort. Students sort the words on the apples into the correct baskets. Very simple word work center that your students will enjoy. Freebie Fridays - July 15th, 2016

Happy Friday! Wow it's already halfway through July! Let's get on with the freebies! Remember to leave positive feedback for anything you download as we spent our hard earned money to create them for you for free.

This weeks freebie is an old one, but one many of you may not have seen. Back to School Rounding to 1 Million Blast. My blast games have a fun twist. Students pick cards after they round and get whatever number of points they pick. They have a choice to keep picking and adding the points to their previous score or stopping. This week's featured freebie is an oldie but goodie! Fishy Sight Word Blast is a sight word game with a math twist. After reading a sight word the student picks a starfish and gets that many points. He or she gets to decide to keep picking to add to their points or stop. If he or she picks another card they add that to their total. They can continue as often as they want. Watch out if he or she gets a 0 they lose all their points including from previous rounds! Click either picture to download it and don't forget to leave kind feedback!

Back To School Kindergarten Fun!

Are you a Kindergarten teacher who is getting ready to head back to school?  Do you need some EASY centers that your students can do that won't take much explaining on how to do them?  If so check out some of my latest Kindergarten centers.

Fall 2nd Grade Centers
