I am happy to announce that TPT is having their Back To School sale on August 1st and 2nd. There is a change for all future sales. Before most sellers including myself put everything on sale for 20% off and then with the code TPT took off 10% after the 20% was taken off thus you saved 28% (more off bundles). When I taught  Kindergarten, Write The Room was my students favorite center. Insects I Have Who Has CVC Short A Real Words and Nonsense Words is a fun game that makes your students listen carefully to their fellow students as well as focusing on sounding out words. Happy Friday! I hope each of you are finally out on summer break! I know those on the other part of the world are starting your second semester though.

I suggest printing on cardstock for durability and then laminating them so they last longer. Children love reading the word and putting together the puzzle. Happy Friday!!! I wish each of you a terrific weekend!

This week's freebie is a blast from the past, but a favorite of many children called Fishy Sight Word Blast. Children will enjoy reading a sight word and then picking a starfish to see how many points they get. They can stop there or pick another starfish and add the number to the last starfish number. They can keep going as many times as they want, but if they get a zero they lose all their points including from previous rounds! Don't forget to show your kindness by leaving positive feedback. Freebie Fridays - Week of July 8th, 2016

Happy Friday! I hope everyone in the United States had a great 4th of July weekend!

Today's featured freebie is a brand new one I created this week. I'm not a big fan of worksheets, but I have been working on printables for the various phonics sounds: Beginning Sounds, CVC and CVCe including Y, Blends, Digraphs, Diphthongs, Vowel Pairs, R-Controlled Vowels, and Silent Letters.

I have made my Silent Letters packet available for free. One color the picture that makes the sound for each silent letter: gn, kn, wr, and mb. Click on the picture to get this no prep packet for free.

This week's featured freebie is an oldie but goodie! Fishy Sight Word Blast is a sight word game with a math twist. After reading a sight word the student picks a starfish and gets that many points. He or she gets to decide to keep picking to add to their points or stop. If he or she picks another card they add that to their total. They can continue as often as they want. Watch out if he or she gets a 0 they lose all their points including from previous rounds! Click either picture to download it and don't forget to leave kind feedback!

Reading Fun!

Next up is Synonyms in the Sun where students play a board game that uses cards.  They pick a card and name a synonym for the card and move that many spaces on the game board.  The first one to the finish line is the winner.  It also comes with a cute poster and a worksheet.
