Phonics Clip It!
One of my most popular sets of products this year has been my Clip Its. This is a fun hands on center where children find the vowel sound (word for CVC) that matches the picture. By using a clothespin students are working on fine motor skills. Other teachers put these into plastic sleeves or laminate and use a dry erase marker to circle the answer. Another alternative is to play the popular game "Scoot" with them.A recording sheet and answer key are also included. Click on the pictures or links to check them out.
This is the bundle, which will save you the most money if you are interested in each of the sets. Perfect for 1st and 2nd grade teachers who go through all of the basic phonics sounds.
I also have CVC, Digraph, L Blends, R Blends, S Blends, and Dipthongs available!
Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings. Keep on smiling!

These Fall 2nd Grade Reading and Math Centers include activities to go with those centers. Click any of the pictures to check it out in my TPT store or click HERE to buy it in my Teacher's Notebook store.
Write The Room Contractions
Bushel of Blends Blast - Game with a Twist
Fall Themed Bump Game
Place Value Riddles - Differentiated Task Cards
Pumpkin Regrouping 2 Digit Addition
Use as a write on wipe of activity if laminated, Write the Room, or use the game board provided.
There is also a sort for sentences and fragments and 2nd bump game using dice.

Having Fun with Blends using Books, Interactive Student Notebooks, and a Giveaway!
Hameray Publishing company was kind enough to contact me and ask if I'd like to review one of their products. They sent me the books for their series "Letter Buddies Best Friends." It comes with 22 books, each book comes with a different blend. The pictures help give a clue as to what the blend is, which will help early readers like my Kindergarten children figure out the words. The last page of the book includes a writing activity that goes with the 6 blends that are in the book.

These books are great to be used in small groups, whole groups, or even individual in a student's book basket. Read the book to the students and then have them list all of that particular blend (bl if you read Blow on the Blankets) and record it on a white board or chart paper. Next I box the blend and we practice reading each word, saying the blend as one sound to help chunk the word into 2 parts. My students like highlighting so you can give them a list of words and have them highlight the blend.
After going through all of the books that have to do with l blends, r blends, or s blends I have my students do a fun foldable. They glue a picture under the flap to match the blend and then write the word. This can easily be done in an Interactive Student Notebook. Click the picture to get it for free in my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
It is suggested to do a preview first by seeing if they can write down a blend on their own that starts with bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, and sl. Then do the fun foldable mentioned. Then have them process it someway to check for understanding. Maybe you could give them some words and do a word sort. I again love to let them highlight the blend after sorting the words or you can give them some of the blends and have them draw a picture of a different word that they come up with. Another option is to have them do a writing activity at the end of one of the books.
Hameray Publishing is having a really amazing contest! They are giving away a Letter Buddies class set to one lucky winner. You get the books mentioned above, plus Letter Buddies Letter Books, Letter Buddies Blend Books, Letter Buddies Starters, Letter Buddies Letter Mats, Letter Buddies Alphabet Lap books, Magnetic Letters, and a Magnetic Whiteboard. Wow! The winner will be announced on June 2nd! Click HERE to enter!
One lucky winner of my blog has a chance to win the Letter Buddies Alphabet Lap books. You can enter by clicking on the Rafflecopter form. One lucky winner will be chosen. You can get entries by following Hameray on their FB page, Hamerays Letter Buddies FB page, and following Hameray on Pinterest.

Draw and Write Phonics Sentences! FREEBIE!
I am thrilled to announce a brand new line of products that I made! I hope that you find these useful for your students. I have a couple of bloggers working on making examples for me so more pictures are to come! Anyone that would like to try my products out with your class or own children and send me pictures for my blog (this can be any product) may do so and get the product for free e-mail me tigermagic@bellsouth.net
On the draw and write products there are 3 different words that go with each consonant, blend, diagraph, long vowel, r-controlled vowel, or diphthong. For each word the students first write a sentence (this will help for the words that are verbs or adjectives) and then draw a picture. The 4th one is for your child to apply the skill by coming up with their own word for the pattern, writing a sentence, and drawing a picture. You can give them out individually or staple each skill into a book! This is great for assessment, small groups, centers, or independent seat work!
It's only $15.99 for the whole pack, which would cost you about $28 to buy each set individually!
Here is everything all bundled together!
Pictures of each skill are below. Please click the picture to go to my store!
