I hope the mothers out there had a Happy Mother's Day on Sunday!
Last Thursday, I started tutoring off with my 2 Digit Addition Regrouping Beach Task Cards. I used the shell game board from the pack. It also comes with a beach ball game board or can be used as traditional task cards. I love the cards as the kids can write on, wipe off with them. Then I gave her a quick assessment using my 2 Digit Regrouping Spring No Prep Printables. She got 100% on it!
Then I used my fun Addition and Subtraction 3 Number Equation Fish Puzzles. I gave her 12 (of the 32) puzzles to put together and she did a great job! Even when it was down to process of elimination of where they fit she checked the equations to make sure I hadn't made a mistake creating them. These are in color and b/w. The below example is in b/w but printed using colored cardstock.
Then we had time to play my Space Addition Facts Race working on sums of 12, 13, and 14. This one isn't yet updated in my Primary Reading and Math Games Bundle but it will be in there this summer along with some updated games. Grab it while you can before the price goes up and you'll be able to download what I add for free!
Thank you for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!

Tutoring Tuesdays - April 25th, 2017
Last Tuesday, I continued to work on 2 digit regrouping by 2 digit with the 1st grader that I tutor. I found out at her birthday party that she loves Robots! So we played a board game with the Robot 2 Digit Addition Regrouping Task Cards that I recently created. If a student lands on a robot they get to go again because the Robot helps them do their work. I have included a recording sheet if you want to keep your students accountable or to play Scoot, Quiz, Quiz trade, etc. Click on either picture to grab it! I also have subtraction, sight words, and fluency phrases available.
I didn't show this video in tutoring as we don't do YouTube videos but I thought I'd keep with the Robot theme and share The Learning Station's video "Dancing Robots". Such a fun brain break your students will certainly love!!!
After we played that game we worked on these fun Part Part Whole to 20 Love Bug Task Cards. Students add the two parts together to make a whole! Click on either of the pictures of the hyperlink to grab it.
I put this with my spring game board that comes with my Spring Sight Word Race game to make it more fun. Land on a bee you got stung go back to start, but land on a child with a net the child caught the bee and you get to go again. With the task cards, the game board is not currently in the set but I have included a recording sheet and answer key for you to use for Scoot, Quiz, Quiz trade at centers, stations, rotations, RTI, small groups, etc. This set also includes one of the parts missing with the whole being given. Your students have to find the missing part. We may work on that this Thursday if we have time. There are 36 cards!
The Love Bugs Part Part Whole are also currently available with numbers to 10, multiplication, and even contractions!

Spring Linky Party
I can't believe that spring will be here on March 20th, the day before my birthday! I'll be 37 years old. I'll be tutoring on my birthday for an amazing child. I found out I went to elementary school with her dad!
Anyway, here are some new spring products that I have created. Click the picture to check them out. You can also check out other spring free and paid products, music, and ideas in the linky party below.
Cut along the lines of my CVC Easter Eggs to create puzzles for your students. Perfect for an easy word work phonics center. R-Controlled Vowels and Vowel Pairs are also currently available. If you need another skill contact me.
Easter After Numbers Race is a fun game that gives the students two numbers and then they must name what number comes next. They roll one die or the fun bunny spinner and move that many spaces. If they land on a snake they go back to start, but if they land on a chick they get to go again. The cards can also be used as task cards.
Clip It Math Spring Kindergarten has addition and subtraction to 10, counting 0 to 20, and after numbers to 20.
My favorite spring video has to be "Spring Is Here" by The Learning Station. Your children will learn all about animals in spring and will also enjoy the wonderful animation and movements for this song. Perfect brain break that ties into Science.
Those who have teaching ideas, products free or paid, and music may link up as many as you want below as long as it has to do with spring.

Easter Addition Common Core Games
Next up is a game that I am very proud of and I can't wait to get your feedback on it. This game uses Common Core Standards also. It is for Addition Strategies Doubles, Doubles +1 (also called Near Doubles), and Making 10. Children turn a card over and answer the question if everyone agrees the answer is correct, they get to flip an egg. If the egg is a number other than 0 they get that many points. If it is 0 their total score is 0 and it is the next person's turn. If it is not 0 they can decide to go again and again and again and keep adding the points to their total, but if they get a 0 they lose everything even from other rounds.
Example: Joe gets a 2, then a 3. He now has 5 points. He goes again and gets a 4. Now he has 9 points. Joe decides to stop. On Joe's next turn he gets a 3. He now has 12 total points. Joe decides to try again and gets a 0. He now has 0 total points.
Feel free in the comments to request other skills, I'd be thrilled to make games to meet your needs!!! Click the pictures to go check out the game!
Thanks for hoppin' over to Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! I appreciate every single of your support! Love to you all!
Brian :-)

Spring/Easter Linky Party
I am so excited, it is time for my first ever linky party! whohohoooooo! Are you as excited as I am?

I will start by reminding you of my free All About Rabbit Task Cards. For more information on those and then to go download them head to my blog page about it by clicking on the picture:
Next up I have a really cute contraction center. All the contractions have the word not, including the two tricky ones can't, and won't. It fits Common Core Standard: L.2.2. Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing. Students match the contractions with the two short words. It can also be played by turning all the cards over and playing the game concentration. I hope that your students enjoy it! This one is just $2.50. You can check it out by clicking on either picture:
